Rep. Mike Flood, U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 1st district since 2022, recently shared updates on legislative achievements and leadership roles through a series of posts on July 21 and 22, 2025.

On July 21, Rep. Flood announced the passage of his bill in the House: “UPDATE My Equal Opportunity for All Investors Act just passed the House with strong bipartisan support! This commonsense reform to help modernize the ‘accredited investor’ definition now heads to the Senate for consideration. More about our work https://t.co/OcUgerKHHy https://t.co/MY90lvwCuo”.

Later that evening, he highlighted Nebraska’s role in biofuel production: “Nebraska remains a national leader in biofuel production… SAF represents just one of many promising ways to grow the biofuels sector and boost our rural communities.” More about my new bipartisan, commonsense bill promoting SAF development https://t.co/cJfa7Tac9d https://t.co/GENzAA2V1q (July 21).

On July 22, Rep. Flood shared news of his election as chair: “Thankful to be unanimously elected @MainCaucus Chair, following nearly three years of success and leadership under former Chair @RepDustyJohnson. Flood succeeded Jeff Fortenberry in Congress and has previously served in the Nebraska State Legislature from 2007 to 2013. Born in Omaha in 1975, he resides in Norfolk and holds degrees from both the University of Notre Dame and University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
