Rep. Adrian Smith announced on Mar. 30 that his staff will hold a caseworker-in-your-community event for residents of Chase and Dundy Counties on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. The event is intended to help constituents with disaster recovery issues and provide assistance with federal agencies such as the United States Department of Agriculture, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Department of Veterans Affairs, Social Security Administration, Medicare, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, or the Internal Revenue Service.
The opportunity allows local residents to meet directly with one of Smith’s congressional caseworkers for support regarding federal programs or concerns. According to the announcement, Smith has offices in Grand Island, Scottsbluff, and Nebraska City.
Smith’s staff will be available at two locations: Lied Imperial Library at 718 Broadway Street in Imperial from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Mountain Time; and Dundy County Library at 106 E 6th Avenue in Benkelman from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Mountain Time.
Adrian Smith is currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s third district after replacing Tom Osborne in 2007 according to public records. He has served continuously since then following previous service in the Nebraska Legislature from 1999 to 2007 according to official biographies. Smith was born in Scottsbluff in 1970 and now lives in Gering as reported by biographical information. He graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993 according to educational records.
