Rep. Mike Flood, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Nebraska’s 1st district, has shared several thoughts on recent political developments via social media. On June 2, 2025, Rep. Mike Flood expressed gratitude towards former President Donald Trump for prioritizing high-quality forecasting across the nation. He stated: “Thank you to President @realDonaldTrump for his leadership and for making this a priority in Nebraska and across the nation so the agency can deliver high quality forecasts.”

The following day, on June 3, 2025, he emphasized the importance of expediting NEPA permitting processes to provide communities with certainty and support future growth projects. He remarked: “We must continue to look for ways to speed up NEPA permitting so that communities have certainty and can move forward on projects that are key to growing their future.”

In another post on June 3, 2025, Rep. Flood commented on a recent Supreme Court decision that he believes will enhance economic growth by reducing frivolous lawsuits. He noted: “The Supreme Court’s decision last week helps smooth the process and will curtail the use of frivolous lawsuits to cripple economic growth.”

Rep. Mike Flood was born in Omaha in 1975 and currently resides in Norfolk. His educational background includes a BA from the University of Notre Dame (1997) and a JD from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2001).
