“I’m happy to announce that my team is now accepting applications for our fall internship program in Washington, D.C.,” said Congressman Flood. “Our program offers interns a comprehensive understanding Congress at work, along with impactful, hands-on experience right in our nation’s capital.”

Interns will have the opportunity to work alongside each team within the office’s full-time congressional staff. The curriculum includes learning about constituent services, communications, legislative affairs, and committee work.

In addition to these duties, interns can attend congressional hearings, policy briefings, guest speaker events, exhibits, and participate in networking opportunities on Capitol Hill.

The deadline for application submissions is June 27th. The internship period runs from August 25th through December 12th. Applicants with graphic design and writing experience are encouraged to submit examples with their resumes.

Preference will be given to students and recent graduates who have ties to Nebraska’s first congressional district. More information about the internship program can be found online.
