Rep. Adrian Smith, U.S. Congressman representing Nebraska’s 3rd district, has recently highlighted technology’s role in healthcare access and promoted legislative efforts on information security through a series of posts on his official social media account.

On March 26, 2026, Smith wrote, “It’s past time we fully embrace the role technology plays in making America healthier. From telehealth to remote care, innovation can expand access—especially in rural communities—and help close critical gaps in care.”

A day later, on March 27, 2026, Smith addressed concerns about financial gain from sensitive information: “If you have access to sensitive information, you shouldn’t be able to use it to make money, plain and simple. My PREDICT Act with @RepNikkiB is a commonsense approach to ensure that does not happen. Learn how https://t.co/MFWM1cbaOS”

Also on March 27, Smith congratulated collegiate basketball teams: “Congratulations to @HuskerWBB and @HuskerMBB on your historic seasons and an unforgettable March. Husker Nation couldn’t be prouder. #GB #MarchMadness”

Smith has served in Congress since 2007 after succeeding Tom Osborne and previously held office in the Nebraska Legislature from 1999 to 2007. Born in Scottsbluff in 1970 and currently residing in Gering, he earned his BA from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 1993.
